5th Annual Day-Ohn-Day 5k Run and 1 Mile Run/Walk

May 23rd, 2009

at the River Parks

2009 was the biggest and best year yet for the Day-Ohn-Day 5k Run and 1 Mile Fun Run with 325 runners. Congratulations to everyone who participated, especially the Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby who oversaw the registration of one hundred tribal members, thereby winning the first annual Chief's Challenge. The award was accepted by Scott Colbert, Chickasaw Nation Tribal Legislator.

Thank you to our sponsors Runner's World and the Tulsa Runner Club - for letting us be a part of their 2009 Race Series. Thanks also to our co-sponsors the Sac and Fox Casino, Cherokee Casino, Horizon Engineering, Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino, Indian Healthcare Resource Center, Flintco, and Panera Bread. Special thanks also to the Tulsa Police Department and to Glen's Road Race Service for all their help. The Day-Ohn-Day 5k Run would not be possible without the time and energy of our volunteers and Tulsa Indian Club members. Thank you everyone!
