The Historic Tulsa Powwow

The historic Tulsa Powwow began in 1952, evolving from small backyard gatherings into a nationally known summer event at Tulsa's Mohawk Park. Since 2005, the Tulsa Powwow has been held at the Tulsa Convention Center bringing thousands of attendees, dancers, singers, performers and craftspeople from all over the United States and Canada.

The 2008 marked the 56th anniversary of the Tulsa Powwow as well as one of our biggest in recent years. With over 6000 attendees and 250 registered dancers the 2008 Tulsa Powwow upheld its reputation as one of Oklahoma's premiere competition powwows.
